What to Wear for Your Family Session
Choosing outfits can feel overwhelming, but the goal is simple: coordinate, don’t match. Soft, natural tones and comfortable textures photograph best—especially in outdoor settings where nature is already doing a lot of the visual work.
Outfits for Her
Women’s outfits typically set the tone for the session, so starting here helps everything come together. Flowy dresses and soft, movement-friendly fabrics photograph beautifully outdoors. Maxi dresses, midi dresses, and relaxed silhouettes tend to work best because they add motion and elegance without feeling stiff.
Recommended direction:
Earth tones: cream, beige, olive, rust, warm browns
Soft muted colors: dusty blue, sage, blush, muted mustard
